About Poldowrian Farmhouse
Where is it?
Poldowrian is a farm on the coast of the Lizard Peninsula in South Cornwall.
You can’t go further south than the Lizard.
What sort of place?
The Farmhouse is one of three houses there.
Recently renovated and redecorated throughout.
Quite remote – half a mile from the nearest house, 4 miles from the nearest villages.
The nearest town (Helston) is a 20-minute drive.
Cliffs and Beaches
It’s about 200 yards to the spectacular cliffs and the South West Coast Path.
Kennack Sands is a 20-minute walk away.
There are other beaches nearer, but it’s more of a scramble to get down there.
Gardens
The farmhouse has an extensive garden complete with picnic table and Wendy house.
Guests can also wander in the unique and wonderful woodland garden.
Inside
There’s room for up to 10 people (only 8 teenagers or adults).
Upstairs are two large bedrooms, each sleeping up to 4 people. There is also a shower room with WC and basin.
Downstairs is a bedroom that will sleep two; bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin; a very well-equipped kitchen, with fridge/freezer and dishwasher (plus washing machine and tumble drier in the porch); dining room with seating for 8 (10 at a pinch); sitting room with books, games, smart TV, wood-burning stove, and a piano.
Good WiFi throughout.
What’s around?
Lots of interesting places to visit: Roskilly’s farm; the Minack theatre; archaeological sites; the Helford River; and numerous pubs and other eating places.
No end of places to walk or swim.
Lettings are normally by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Shorter bookings are sometimes possible.
Pets?
Up to two reasonably well-behaved dogs are welcome (but they must be kept on a lead around the farm). They can be loose in the farmhouse garden, which is enclosed.
